( please avoid courier, as I'm dyslexic, and ᴡᴀɴᴏ sᴘᴏɪʟᴇʀs or further, as I'm egregiously behind. genuinely OTA including shipping, I just write all his tfln prompts gay ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
1. I'm not going to say what I did. You're smart enough to figure it out. But I did it. And you owe me $20.
2. I just won a riveting game of "who can drink the most vodka out of a hollowed out watermelon". Fucking New Worlders.
3. Screw Disneyland. This naval base is the happiest place on earth. Even unattractive guys are completely fuckable in ranked uniforms, I'm never leaving.
4. He came into the hospital yelling "HEY EVERYBODY! REMEMBER ME?"
5. He's ninety percent amazing leader, brother, and teacher, and ten percent unforgivable douche. These are the men I look up to in my life.
Never leaving? It sounds like I'm being given a few reasons to try joining the navy then. Or sneak in? Mm but it's not exactly allowed... Still, I think I can pull it off.
Do you think they'd believe I was one? I don't know which would be easier to believe that I was.
See? if that's what you want to see, there's really only one way. Navy are just like guards, right? Act all stiff while on duty, and stand straight around the bosses? I can probably do that.
Are those uniforms different? I thought it'd just be joining to get the uniform and leaving whenever. I can't imagine them being able to force me to stay.
[ Ah yes. What logic. Deserting is more fine than stealing. Probably because stealing a uniform could cause trouble for the victim. ]
The newbie uniforms are fine and all, but they're meant for hard training and weeding out the chaff, so they're loose and cheap. The officers' are crisp and tailored and expensive.
It just shows that their influence hasn't gotten that far.
What's theoretically the fastest someone can gain enough ranks for the good uniforms?
[ At least they've already shown enough of their ability to get past the ground floor quick enough. How hard could it be? Any difficulties could be treated like a Tribulation. But yes, yes they are thinking of speedrunning ranks. ]
[ ... This shouldn't be hot but it's kind of hot, actually. ]
[ Also, meeting folks from islands the Navy hasn't been able or bothered getting to is always a delight. Someone who's grown without being surrounded by the institutional fondness for the so-called "good guys"? Yeah, that's a treat. ]
Basic's a couple months. After that, as far as I know, it's all about a balance of jumping when told but also making a name for yourself with exploits. Seems sort of up your alley.
[ That is very much a compliment, coming from the man who weaseled his way into the Warlords with exactly the same balance of bullshit. ]
[ An extra treat with the flavor of growing up away from pretty much anything institutionalized. ]
It sounds like you're not going anywhere anytime soon. So what's a couple months?
Really, it sounds like it's not a problem! You made it sound like it'd take a lot. It sounds like there's no point in showing much until after basic. What kind of tricks do they like the most? They probably value those with unique or harder to come by techniques the most.
